The main characters of the play about World War II are twin brothers who undergo monstrous transformations. Ordinary children, tender and vulnerable, turn into fascists for whom the commandment "thou shalt not kill" does not exist. Trying to survive in wartime, the boys commit increasingly horrific crimes, gradually becoming dehumanized, and record their "achievements" in a notebook.
