About

A random lie triggers a chain of events in which a stranger suddenly becomes part of a family. It is a story about trust, intimacy, and how quickly familiar roles can change. "The Elder Son" by Alexander Vampilov is something you can reread when you lose faith in humanity. Even better is to go see the play based on this work. At "Tabakerka," the story of finding a family was directed by Alena Lapteva. In the plot, two friends miss their train and are forced to look for lodging in the suburbs. They knock on the first door they find, and a guy named Busygin introduces himself as a relative of the homeowner. The friends can hardly imagine how this masquerade will unfold. Who would have thought that an elderly musician would find a son, and his children would find a brother? This spontaneous deception sets off a chain of events that changes all the participants. The production addresses the theme of acceptance and shows how in real life, people who had nothing in common just yesterday can come closer together. The theater poster for Moscow is available on KUDAGO.
