An instructive story based on a Russian folk tale. "The Tale of Emelya" is a classic of BТК: the premiere of the play took place in 1971. This long-running production, awarded multiple prizes (including at the international puppet theater festival in France), nevertheless remains popular and feels completely modern. "The Tale of Emelya" was directed by the legendary head of BТК, Viktor Sudarushkin (1936-1986): it should be noted that the repertoire of the puppet theater still includes several of his wonderful productions, not just "Emelya". This captivating musical performance for the youngest viewers is based on timeless plots of Russian folk tales: there is a pike that grants wishes, pies that jump onto the table by themselves, and talking Rooster, Dog, and Horse, as well as jesters, and of course, the carefree and charming main character.
