The play, based on the eponymous poem by Alexander Pushkin, tells of the power of love, loyalty, and goodness that can change the course of events. In the spotlight is a fairy-tale world where heroes move from a village house to a palace and an island, and the space seems to be created and disappears with the waves. The production by director Evgeny Zimin combines poetry with plasticity, dance, and musical fragments written by composer Vasily Tonkovidov.
