A New Year’s performance featuring the music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky and a fairy tale performed by Alexander Oleshko - a continuation of the "Fairy Tale and Music" cycle. The genre "Fairy Tale and Music" was invented by the founder of the children’s musical theatre, Natalia Sats, over a hundred years ago. The Vakhtangov Theatre preserves a wonderful tradition of musical fairy tales, especially since music and words have always intertwined on its stage. Alexander Oleshko will read the New Year’s fairy tale by Hoffmann in the theatre’s adaptation. Artist Lilia Chistina will create bright and beautiful sand animation - illustrations made of sand that come to life before the audience's eyes. The music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky will be performed by the theatre's orchestra. The performance is aimed at children from 5 years old and all viewers without upper age restrictions. You can find even more performances on our website in the theatre section.
