Magic has come to Marie Stahlbaum's home. At night, all the objects in the living room, where the Christmas tree sparkles, come to life. The girl enters a fairy tale world filled with dangerous and beautiful adventures. Marie receives a Christmas gift from her godfather - a small wooden nutcracker doll. The Nutcracker is not just a doll, but a prince cursed by enemies from a wonderful fairy-tale land where the Lemonade River flows and the Candy Meadow grows. At night, the Mouse King and his army sneak into the living room where the Nutcracker lives. A battle to the death ensues between the animated toys and the evil rodents. A well-aimed shoe thrown by Marie at the leader of the mouse army forces the tailed troops to retreat. But the girl knows that the enemy will return. She wants to help the Nutcracker rid himself of the looming danger, break the evil spell, and return home - to the fairy-tale kingdom. The performance will end with a ball in the theater foyer. Princess Marie will dance with the handsome prince - the un-cursed Nutcracker. All spectators of the performance are invited to the magical ball, wishing to twirl in dance to the music of Mozart. The performance is based on the work of the German writer Ernst Hoffmann. The story of the Nutcracker in the production by director Ruslan Kudashov has been awarded the "Golden Sofit" prize and other prestigious awards.
