A journey play dedicated to the work of Yekaterinburg poet Boris Rizhi. Boris Rizhi is one of the most tragic figures in modern poetry. He gained fame early: by the age of 26, he had published several hundred poems in leading Russian literary magazines and received the "Anti-Buker" award, and his poems were translated into most European languages. And suddenly - suicide, which became a real shock for everyone familiar with his work. And a note that explains nothing: "I loved everyone. No kidding." The play by the Fomenko Workshop and director Yuri Butorin based on Rizhi's poems is a kind of journey: a journey on a suburban train from Sverdlovsk to Sverdlovsk, through the poet's "places of youth." Industrial zones, dormitories, police, schools for working youth, rooftops, the editorial office of the magazine "Ural": these and other stops are announced by the conductor in combat makeup, while the audience rotates, taking the public to new and new points. Rizhi himself (in different incarnations) is played by four actors at once, and all - successfully. Some of the poems in the play are set to music. It turned out to be not just a play, but a poetic performance, a conversation about the era of the eighties and nineties and about the poet's place in this, apparently unbearable world for him.
