Lev Dodin composed and directed the play for his Young Studio. The story of the young lovers, celebrated by Shakespeare, has no expiration date. It continues to touch the hearts of audiences around the world, inspiring writers, musicians, artists, and directors. Lev Dodin presents his version of the tragedy, using motifs from the works of Shakespeare, Solzhenitsyn, Astafiev, Peter Abrahams, and other authors. The scenography by Alexander Borovsky and the lighting score by Damir Ismagilov immerse the audience in the world of modern Romeo and Juliet. Street artist Nikita Kasyanenko was invited to create the graffiti. The roles are performed by the artists of Lev Dodin's Young Studio.
