A fantasy based on the work of Daniel Defoe. Robinson is the hero of Daniel Defoe's novel, whose name has become synonymous with solitude and resilience. A Robinson is a lonely and steadfast person who overcomes obstacles to survive. In Ekaterina Obraztsova's play, Robinson's story is told through clowning and puppetry. In extreme conditions, every person embodies both a pessimist and an optimist, which is why Robinson is played by two clowns, one cheerful and one sad. The play does not reproduce Defoe's book verbatim; it is a fantasy that poses many questions to the audience. The answers, however, must be sought independently, just as the real Robinson did.
