Director Asya Knyazeva, who staged "Andersen's Magic Theatre" and "The Artist Will Be Asked", turned to the play by the French playwright of the first half of the 19th century, Eugene Scribe. The issues raised by the author in his work resonate particularly strongly in our age of social media: the creation of an ideal self-image, unscrupulous advertising, and blatant deception. The director believes that comedy is born not when one needs to entertain the audience, but when there is nothing left to do but laugh.
