The musical and choreographic production will unite Pskov legends, poetic texts, and classical music into a single artistic narrative. On stage - dance, choir, orchestra, vocals, and words, gathered into an expressive and multilayered act about strength, roots, and cultural memory. The central event of the II International Festival "World of Classical Romance" is dedicated to the ancient land of Pskov - a place where heroism, history, and culture merge into a whole. The production "Pskov Tales" is structured as an artistic canvas where academic music, choreography, folk traditions, and contemporary stage art meet. The key thread is the texts of Pskov native Oksana Fedorova. Her voice offstage accompanies the audience, intertwining with the musical and scenic design of the production. Several creative groups will perform on stage that evening: the ensemble "Skaz" named after V. Rumyantsev, the dance theater "Russian Patterns", the folklore group "Ugrada", the chamber choir Festino, and the Governor's Symphony Orchestra of St. Petersburg. The conductor's part is performed by Anton Lubchenko. Vocal parts will be performed by soloists: mezzo-soprano Oksana Fedorova, baritone Alexander Polkovnikov, tenor Yosif Niktyenko, and soprano Elena Fedina. The first act - "Pages of History" - includes folk songs, rituals, and church hymns. The second - "Pictures from the Exhibition" - refers to the musical heritage of Tchaikovsky, Glinka, Mussorgsky, Prokofiev, and Rimsky-Korsakov, associated with this region.
