Hungarian director, one of the flagships of European theatre, Attila Vidnyanszky presents a stage interpretation of Franz Kafka's novel. This is Vidnyanszky's second production at the Alexandrinsky after "Crime and Punishment". The leading theme of the first play was the absence of God, immersion in atheism and chaos. The director interprets Dostoevsky's novel as absurdist, so his reference to Kafka is more than logical. A fractured world, loss of meanings and values, psychology - all these are the main themes and characteristics of Vidnyanszky's work, who explores the modern world through the classics.
