An adaptation of one of the key novels of the 20th century. Nobel laureate William Golding had to knock on the doors of publishers to publish his novel "Lord of the Flies". Ultimately, the work became a classic of modern literature and is considered one of the best characterizations of the "cursed century". The horrific adventures of a group of boys stranded on a deserted island seem to be a chillingly accurate allegory of world history - with all its brutality and atrocities, and the images of the boys lost in the thicket can be seen as an unflattering portrait of humanity. The plot of "Lord of the Flies" is, of course, very dark and hopeless - the lives of the heroes are unlikely to ever become happy, as they have lost the most important thing: the innocence of souls. It seems pointless to write and especially to stage such bleak stories? The author answered this question, believing that the very fact that a person asks themselves about hopelessness serves as sufficient proof that hope still exists.
