The actor's voice leads from memories to lines full of longing for Russia, while the piano of Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev subtly highlights every pause. There are texts that resonate stronger than any decor. That evening on stage - a monologue in two parts based on the prose and poetry of Georgy Ivanov, one of the bright voices of the Silver Age. The first part is built on memories of Petersburg in the early 20th century: in the words, living silhouettes of the literary environment emerge, recognizable intonations of the time, meetings and conversations that the city breathed. At the center is human memory: precise, sometimes sharp, sometimes tender. Through it, the names of those with whom the poet was close and whom he saw up close emerge - from Nikolai Gumilyov and Anna Akhmatova to Alexander Blok and Osip Mandelstam. This is not a list of facts, but a feeling of presence, when behind a short phrase one can guess character and fate. In the second part, poems from the Parisian period sound - lines in which the longing for Russia is heard and an attempt to maintain a connection with home through words. The performer works subtly: changing tempo, sharpening pauses, leading intonation so that the meaning unfolds gradually, like after a long silence. The concentration of attention becomes part of the action - the audience involuntarily "listens along" and continues the thought with the actor. Musical accents support the dramaturgy: the program features Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev performed by pianist Elena Vasilyeva. These pages do not "illustrate" the text, but help to feel its internal rhythm - from anxious shifts to bright transparency. Vitaly Gordienko is an artist of the old school: he started on the stage of the MKhAT after the studio school, worked with directors of different generations, created literary programs, and received recognition at the Pushkin competition. His film experience gives him a special precision - every word "hits the frame," even when the hall freezes.
