Orestes, whose father Agamemnon was killed by his own wife and her lover, tries to understand whether to take revenge or not. The authors of the play seek the answer to this question in Aeschylus's tragedy and Sartre's play "The Flies." As a result, a new version of "Oresteia" emerges, close to modern realities. "Oresteia" is a multi-genre play that combines drama, ballet, and musical. The stage space is designed in a retrofuturistic style. According to Gleb Cherepanov, he and his team are following the path of Shakespeare, who was not afraid to combine poignant tragedy with humor. The genre of the production is defined by the director as a "joyful tragedy," which does not negate the sharpness of the conflict.
