Vasily Shukshin spoke in simple words about the lives of ordinary people. His stories are truthful, filled with good humor and sincere love for the characters. The heroes are not divided into clearly good and bad - each combines different sides. This multilayeredness makes them alive and relatable. Director and actress Alyona Lapteva staged the play based on 12 well-known stories by the writer.
