An epic story for adults based on the most captivating and eventful work of antiquity, told in an engaging manner with a great deal of humor. The story, recorded by Homer somewhere in the 8th century BC, will be narrated through the language of movement and humor. The stylized characters of the poetic play encounter various predicaments, yet each time they find a way out of the difficult situation: surviving in sea storms and tempests, escaping from sirens, cyclopes, and other monsters that abound in ancient Greek mythology. The visual means of the play are minimal, but inventive transformations constantly occur on stage: white barrels turn into sea waves or cliffs, the heroes successfully walk on both horizontal and vertical planes, and mythical monsters emerge right from the air. The creator of the play is the chief director of the Minsk Puppet Theatre, Alexey Lelyavsky, who received the "Golden Sofit" for it. In addition to the jury of the mentioned competition, the play was also noted by the selection committee of the "Golden Mask" as the "best puppet show", as well as for the best work of the artist (Alexander Vakhrameev) and the director. The music for the play was composed by Egor Zabelov, and the roles were performed by Mikhail Shelomentsev, Ilya Lisitsin, and Alexey Shishigin.
