The last day before the big holiday has passed, and on a winter night, the stars brightly lit up: it is from this moment, filled with the anticipation of a fairy tale, that unknown adventures begin. Of course, the work itself is for adults only: there is the loving Solokha, the drunkard Chub, and other brutal characters. But in the adaptation by Ekaterina Obraztsova, it has become a magical children's tale for kids aged 6 and up. All the best from Gogol is embodied in the puppet show: fluffy squeaky snowdrifts, shining stars, yellow light in the windows of Ukrainian huts. But the most interesting part is in the characters. The grotesque Solokha chases the absurd Devil. The beautiful Oksana shares generously with her friends in the village - the girls sing songs about the generous evening before Christmas. And the brave blacksmith Vakula set off for the shoes directly to the queen.
