This play, although it takes place on the stage of a puppet theater, cannot be called puppet in the usual sense of the word. The thing is that live actors perform the role of puppets here. The creators of this unusual production, led by Ruslan Kudashov, tried to transfer the techniques of puppet theater to live actors. As a result, the play resembles a clown show. On stage, there are four actors, four masks - both well-known and completely new. The characters find themselves at an abandoned train station waiting for a train that will take them to a distant Eldorado, where all dreams will come true. Through the relationships between the characters, a story is born. It tells that watching and seeing are not the same thing, about the moment of enlightenment and the eternal expectation of a miracle. The play is filled with ironic humor, grotesque, lyricism, and philosophical generalizations. You can find even more plays in St. Petersburg on our website in the theater section.
