A literary-musical production about the relationship between Ivan Turgenev and Polina Viardot, performed by Sati Spivakova and Vladimir Koshevoy. The basis of the production is a script by Sergey Solovyov, intended for Tatyana Drubich and Oleg Yankovsky. It tells the story of the close and complex relationship between Ivan Turgenev and the star of the French stage, Polina Viardot. The play at the Theater of Nations was directed by Dmitry Serdyuk. The artists exist in the space of the director's imagination and do not strive to historically accurately convey the relationships and images of their characters. The musical arrangement of the play was selected by Fyodor Zhuravlev, and it is built on piano music in the spirit of Solovyov's early films, reflecting our romanticized perception of the events and personalities of the 19th century.
