Actor Georgy Iobadze presents his first solo performance based on the eponymous novel by Georgian classic Nodar Dumbadze, featuring traditional Georgian songs. The main character of the novel is little Zuriko, who experiences the hardships of war. From a happy pre-war life, he and his fellow villagers suddenly find themselves in another world, where their loved ones go to the front and perish, where the boy has to grow up without parents. He then goes to study in Tbilisi, but eventually returns to his native village. The novel is filled with nostalgia and a touch of sad humor, so characteristic of Georgian cinema. The Soviet Union is long gone, yet these films have not lost their relevance, just like Dumbadze's novel, created during the "thaw" of the 1960s.
