Maxim Gorky's play about the story of a family was directed by Grigory Yuzhakov. The heroes of the play "The Bourgeois" are members of the family of Vasily Bessemenov, as well as his dependents and tenants. They have all gathered around a common table, and each has their own truth for which they are ready to fight to the end. It seems that no one can hear or understand each other here, but the characters still try to do so. For a long time, the conflict was seen as a clash between the ideology of bourgeoisie and progressive views. However, today such a way of life no longer seems so unequivocally negative and is rather associated with well-being and comfort. Look for other performances in Moscow on KUDAGO.
