The story of an amazing heroine by Vasily Shukshin has been brought to life in a play by Andrei Moguchy. Shukshin walks across the theater stage, more and more directors are captivated by his concise stories about remarkable Russian people. The basis of Moguchy's production is the story "Mother's Heart" and other works by Shukshin, as well as texts by Nikolai Roerich, Elena Roerich, and poems by Kozma Prutkov. The main heroine is Avdotya Gromova, the mother of five sons. Four of them have passed away, and the fifth, Vitya, has gotten into a bad situation - he hit a policeman, and now he faces punishment. Then the mother gets on an old motorcycle and sets off to plead with high-ranking officials, hoping they will save her son from prison.
