The performance, presented as part of the "Trials and Errors" program of the Workshop of P. N. Fomenko, is an updated interpretation of the famous text. This is a new work by director Kirill Vytoptov, witty, complemented by an expressively kitschy visual solution from artist Nana Abdrashitova. The colorful picture - checkered Chinese bags, painfully familiar details of Soviet life, and the bum-like eccentricity of the stage costumes - harmoniously blends with the elegant music of Debussy, which only emphasizes the misery of the characters' existence.
