A sudden transformation of "a moderately plump man in the prime of his life" - a production by Ilya Oksa, based on the famous stories by Astrid Lindgren. Instead of the mischievous chubby boy known to viewers from the magnificent cartoon about Carlson, there is a stylish hero resembling a refined gangster. Malysh, who never escapes from his baggy children's overalls, becomes a woman. It seems that Ilya Oksa's play is a story not about children at all. However, the director combined the atmosphere of playful fun with the deepest subtexts of Astrid Lindgren's tales. This approach, however, is quite in line with the work of the brilliant Swedish storyteller. For all the cheerful adventures she describes usually have a sad underside. Almost all the characters save themselves from loneliness by generating an imaginary world and imaginary friends in their minds.
