The Youth Theater presents the play by Alfred de Musset in its own stage adaptation. The story of how a person sacrifices a living feeling for the sake of fabricated constructs will never lose its relevance. In his play, contemporary of Pushkin, Alfred de Musset wrote about the inscrutability of love's paths. The characters are afraid to hear their feelings, invent what does not exist, substitute their own sensations with others' opinions, and give in to pride and resentment. All of this kills the most fragile feeling - love. Mikhail Chernyak directed the play in the genre of musical tragicomedy. Composer Irina Dolgova created a musical theme for each character, making them closer to the modern audience and helping to reveal their character. Young Camilla has heard sad stories about family life and no longer wants to marry her fiancé, but wants to go to a monastery. The fiancé is disappointed, disagreements grow, affecting everyone around the main characters. There is nothing surprising in youthful maximalism and the desire for quick victories, but the creators of the play ask the audience to reflect on the price that must be paid for substituting true feelings with self-deception.
