A witty and amusing comedy centered around a love triangle. A beautiful and capricious, but, as usual, poor aristocrat is proposed to by a smart and serious gentleman, who, as usual, comes from the lower merchant class. She is, of course, in love with another and is tormented by a painful choice - love or money. The serious conflict between high feelings and greed, passion and conscience is described by the playwrights in a relaxed and elegant form. The mischievous mockery, light irony that permeates this story leaves the audience with a sense of light and faith in the better. The play did not receive approval from critics upon its release, but after being revised by an experienced playwright, it became highly sought after by directors and incredibly loved by the audience. The education of feelings that the characters go through indeed resembles the intricate lacework: mistakes and victories, ups and downs - all fascinatingly and swiftly leads to a happy resolution.
