About

A musical monologue by Mark Tishman - a mirror reflecting fates, thoughts, memories, and images. The fusion of poetry, songs, and video creates an open and touching narrative about ourselves - people who feel, search, and love. This is a performance that helps to see someone else's life as your own. "Faces. The Effect of Absence" is not just a concert and not quite a play. It is an emotional monologue woven from real stories, confessions, memories, and voices of time. Mark Tishman, a singer and actor, has gathered in one stage composition the images of people whose fates have influenced and continue to influence us: Yevtushenko, Monroe, Voznesensky, Gurchenko, Chaplin, Nikulin, Warhol, and others. In this performance, there are no heroes or secondary roles - all stories sound personal. The words spoken from the stage seem to grow from Mark himself: he does not just share others' experiences - he becomes each of them. There are no familiar boundaries between the artist and the audience here: everyone present feels like part of a unified emotional fabric. On stage, there is not only Tishman and his voice but also live music, poetry, and video projections. All this creates a special atmosphere in which time compresses, personalities from different eras enter into dialogue, and new meanings are born between the lines. This is a meditation on memory, on the connection of generations, on how we keep the faces of others within us, even without realizing it. "Faces. The Effect of Absence" is a performance about what shapes us. About empathy, about the possibility of looking deep into another person to understand oneself. This is a story in which everyone will hear something personal. The performance awakens memories, makes one think, and at the same time fills with inner warmth. It is not just watched - it is lived.
