The play by Oleg Pogudin based on the poems and prose of Mikhail Lermontov is dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the poet. Singer and actor Oleg Pogudin, along with other creators of the play, addresses the figure of Lermontov - a very complex one, as the poet's biography is sparse, and little is essentially known about his life. The personality of Lermontov and his art will be discussed on stage through the language of art, which is the only possible way to fully reveal the fate of the main character. The play features works by Lermontov, Pushkin, and other authors, as well as excerpts from letters by Lermontov, Rostopchin, and Nicholas I. Almost two dozen songs and romances with lyrics by the poet, written by composers from different eras, are also performed. You can find even more plays on our website in the theater section.
