About

A play based on the work of Yulia Pospelova. The play is written in verse, which is rarely found in modern dramaturgy (an exception is the plays of Ivan Vyrypaev). "Lyokha" is a story about love. About a late feeling that ignites in the soul of an elderly man for his neighbor Lyubov Ivanovna. In his confession, sounding like a Homeric song, the grandfather addresses the unseen Lyokha, who remains the only silent recipient. Director Danil Chashchin calls his play an attempt to decipher someone else's fate. According to him, elderly people often tell him about their lives, and loneliness is not the only reason. The awareness of one's finiteness pushes a person to pass on information about themselves to others, so it does not drown without a trace in the river of time. The director compares himself to a flash drive, a carrier of other people's stories that he retells to others. And when your story gains eternal existence, death ceases to seem frightening, as does life. You can find more plays on our website in the theater section.
