Youthful madness, a confession of love for poetry, music, and theatrical magic based on the play by Lope de Vega. The creators of the play are graduates of the Shchukin School, under the direction of Alexander Koruchekov. The authors attempted to find a balance between mask-images and real experiences, striving for a musical sound of words. The adventurous comedy "The Valencian Widow" is a story about the beautiful widow Leonarda, admired by the whole town. However, all pleas are in vain: she absolutely refuses to remarry, deciding to dedicate herself to serving God. For a time, she succeeds, and the serenade performers under her windows are left with nothing. But once true, sincere love ignites in her heart, all prayers fade into the background, and resisting the feeling becomes impossible. Love entices and confuses the characters, pushing them into recklessness and leading to despair. Here, everything is subordinated to her and only her.
