An anthology play celebrating the centenary of the theater performed by the leading actors and luminaries of the troupe. The multifaceted and genre-spanning play by Yegor Peregudov includes both previously performed pieces and those that the theater's outstanding artists have always dreamed of performing. They will share with the audience their favorite stories from the works of Chekhov, Bunin, and other classics. The director and actors build connections between the past and the present, between those who once performed in these plays (among them, for example, Faina Ranevskaya) and those who perform them now. The goal of the anniversary, in the view of the creators, is not to summarize but to feel part of a continuous theatrical process spanning a century.
