Pierre de Marivaux's comedy has received a new interpretation beyond the constraints of time. Marivaux's comedy of manners is full of psychology, strong emotions, and internal conflicts. The father of the main character, Silvia, Mr. Orgon, has found her a suitor - a handsome and noble young man. However, Silvia decides to test the suitor and find out what kind of person he is by disguising herself as her maid, while the maid, in turn, dresses up as the mistress. But the young man is no fool and also decides to test his fiancée - using the same trick! The servants switch places with the masters, and a merry confusion begins... The play is directed by the director of the play "Casanova," Sergey Gritsai. For more plays in St. Petersburg, check out our website in the theater section.
