Dostoevsky's novel comes to life on stage in the version of the Cherkasov Theater. Prince Myshkin returns to St. Petersburg after treatment at European resorts. The sincerity, wisdom, and meekness of this man, his ability to forgive, become the spark that ignites the fire of passions, exposing the vices of society. The hero's fate is determined by two women, two opposing entities: the suffering, world-challenging Nastasya Filippovna and the pure, self-respecting Aglaia Epanchina. Dostoevsky's novel is presented in the style of psychological theater, where monologues-confessions and the inability to resist fate take center stage.
