One of the most poignant plays about love and relationships is directed by Semyon Spivak. Terence Rattigan's play has a simple plot but is rich in emotions and experiences. Hester Collyer, a fairly well-off and no longer very young married woman, falls in love with a former military pilot. The love consumes her so much that she leaves her familiar life and her husband, starting a new life under difficult domestic conditions. However, her beloved Freddie's feelings turn out to be fleeting. Hester, having gone through emotional hell, approaches the very edge, and then she will have to learn to live anew. In this play, the theatre speaks to the audience about how love is born, about the responsibility for those who are close, about the staggering betrayal, and about the strength to live that is given to everyone.
