A play based on the family saga by Timur Kibirov, awarded the literary prize "Big Book" in 2020. The events of Kibirov's novel unfold in the last years of the Soviet Union. At the center of the plot are eternal themes: misunderstanding between different generations of one family, the search for oneself, the problem of emigration. In his novel, the author paid great attention to the smallest details and infused it with personal experience, elevating the book to the level of a great Russian novel as a genre. Sincere, on one hand, the book is permeated with irony and sarcasm, filled with quotes that defined the worldview of people in the late USSR. The play based on the novel was directed by Svetlana Zemlyakova, with Maxim Sevrinovsky in the lead role, who plays Richard III in the eponymous play and a number of other bright roles at the Vakhtangov Theatre.
