A joint production of the "Theatrical Laboratory of Yana Tumina" and the "Na Liteynom" Theater. At the center of this story is the city of Leningrad during the siege, as seen by architect Lev Ilyin. He saw in it the harsh beauty inherent in high tragedy. And, like a chorus in an ancient play, the city's residents do not leave its stage even in the most difficult moments. The production combines the stories of the townspeople and images of the siege, conveyed with astonishing accuracy. The performance blends the actors' play, plasticity, puppets, and objects. Its creators believe that this unusual blend, supplemented by a parable-like detached expression, should help today's audience to re-experience, sharply and deeply, what happened during the siege.
