This play won the "Golden Sofit" award and has been performed over 150 times. In 1958, playwright William Gibson began his triumph in Broadway theaters with this play. The play features two characters, but it is about loneliness. Gitel is a dancer, she never has enough money and has health problems. Jerry is a lawyer who has divorced his wife. Each of them has their own life. They are different. As the song goes: "Here meet two lonelies, they lit a fire by the road...". Gitel and Jerry's fire seems to have ignited. However, they have become only a temporary salvation for each other. The characters talk about everything in the world, but not only out of love, but also because they are afraid of silence - a minute of silence does not bring them closer, but frightens them. And so the characters try with all their might to swing their "swing", just to keep it from stopping. Jerry will eventually return to his wife: after "to love", the second most important word is "to help". But what is behind his action - nobility or weakness?.. Both must work on saving the relationship. And to ensure that this lesson does not go to waste for the audience, a whole star-studded team worked: director Benjamin Filshteynsky, artist Vladimir Firer, choreographer Sergey Gritsai. Each of them separately is capable of staging their own play - a directorial play, a pictorial play, a plastic play.
