The story of a Spanish house turned into a prison - a twilight play by Federico Garcia Lorca directed by Alisa Seletskaya, a student of Boris Yukhananov. "The House of Bernarda Alba" is the third premiere of the new Small Stage of the Electric Theatre "Stanislavsky". The artistic director of the venue, Boris Yukhananov, presents to the audience one of his students, the young director Alisa Seletskaya, who realized her idea within the framework of the project "The Golden Donkey". At the heart of the production is a dark play, permeated with a sense of irreversibility, by the cult Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca. "The House of Bernarda Alba" is the author's last completed drama. The key character of the story is a widow and mother of five daughters, obsessed with mourning for her husband, which must last for 8 years. Driven mad by grief, Bernarda turns her home into a prison for young women, whose energy and passion find no outlet and eat away at everything around them. In her production, Alisa Seletskaya aimed primarily to convey the tension, aggression, and misunderstanding that arise between the characters, buried alive in a common grave. Part of this friction is embodied in the dissonance between the actors' performances and the music written by composers Daria Zvezdina and Daniil Pilchen.
