A sad and ironic production by Anatoly Prudin based on the story by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. This world is going crazy from love, and no one will manage to escape from the "black hole" of relationships: this can be defined as the key theme of the play. Director Anatoly Prudin was not afraid to appear banal and staged a play about love. The story of a fateful resort romance is presented realistically. The atmosphere and historical era are reflected in the scenery and costumes. Against this backdrop, Dmitry and Anna - two wealthy representatives of the "middle class" - suddenly and passionately fell in love with each other, thus changing the course of their lives. But the feeling will overwhelm not only the main characters. Other characters in the play, including those from Chekhov's earlier stories, will also experience "heartache." Dramatic events will disturb even Anna's little friend - a spitz, whose role on stage is played by a real dog named Goldie. The production won the "Golden Sofit" award.
