In Venice, there is a carnival, and in the homes of four families, there is a drama on the verge of absurdity. The children and wives are tired of the despotism of their fathers and husbands, wanting to rein them in and abolish the harsh and senseless rules. However, neither persuasion, nor cunning, nor even romance helps them. Only thanks to Signora Felice, the wife of one of the tyrants, is it possible to move the matter off dead center.
