The creators of the play follow the author, trying to understand how his indifferent voice would sound today. Once, Anton Chekhov wrote an amazing play that does not conform to any rules of dramaturgy. Subtle intertwining of relationships, unsaid words, voicing not the words but what hides behind them... Everything here is permeated with a longing for the ideal, and the acting ensemble is tuned like a musical instrument. All of this is very close to the creators of the production. The director and the actors follow Chekhov and his incredibly harmonious play that breaks all the rules. This is not the first experience of staging Chekhov at the "Workshop". In 2004, Peter Fomenko staged "Three Sisters", which won two "Golden Masks" and remained in the repertoire for a long time.
