Petersburg experimental director Pyotr Shereshevsky has placed the heroes of Alexander Pushkin's drama in a gym. The main themes of the play are conscience and the immorality of power, where leaders and even ideology may change, but the essence remains untouched. The heroes of the play are locked in a school gym, as if in a timeless state. Before the audience, as in the mind of Godunov, flashes of his life pass by. This is a chance to repent for what has been done or to regret what has not happened. See more plays on our website in the theater section.
