An early play by Bertolt Brecht directed by experimental director Yuri Butusov. "Drums in the Night" is a premiere from the A. S. Pushkin Theatre, another experiment by Yuri Butusov with the dramaturgy of Bertolt Brecht, the founder of epic theatre. Brecht's plays played a special role in the formation of the director's personal style and manner, becoming a kind of milestone material. Butusov's new production is based on a little-known early play by Brecht. "Drums in the Night" is the playwright's first work brought to the stage. In Russia, the piece has hardly been staged. In his interpretation of the unique text, Butusov again addresses one of his favorite themes - the rebellion of the individual as a way to resist social injustice.
