A men's verbatim play about the most feminine topic, an updated version. On stage are several men playing women. Women of different ages, social and economic statuses, different in spirit and worldview. The only thing that unites them all is motherhood. Why do we give birth to children? What is the purpose of it? This is what the authors of the production reflect on. The foundation of the play is based on monologues of real women, with whom the authors communicated in maternity hospitals. The material was collected over two years. The male actors do not attempt to parody women, and because of that, the stories they tell are perceived particularly deeply. "9 Months, 40 Weeks" is a life-affirming production that debunks many fears regarding pregnancy and childbirth. The play is filled with humor and jokes, but very subtle and intellectual. The light direction transforms this seemingly simple work into something much more significant about the tender love of men for women who give life to children, about their compassion, and about the difficulties that are easier to endure together.
