This program offers a rare opportunity to experience Eastern tales as if you were in the heart of ancient Persia. Through music, animation, and artistic word, the heroes and plots familiar from the collection "One Thousand and One Nights" come to life. Performing for the audience will be Hamid Reza Dadu - a multi-instrumentalist from Iran. He plays rare traditional instruments: nay, daf, tombak, and santur. Each of them carries a unique sound and culture. Hamid Reza conveys their images, stories, and functions through a performance where technique, emotion, and tradition are inseparable. The sounds of his nay are thin and prolonged, like the breath of the desert. The tombak resonates with the pulse of celebration, while the bright strings of the santur flow like cascades of pearls. Alongside the music, a visual series will unfold: artist Lydia Miller will create sand paintings live during the concert.
