As part of the series, the music of Mikael Tariverdiev will be featured in several Soviet films - from spy thrillers to fairy tales, melodramas, and war dramas. All films will be shown on 35mm film from the collection of the State Film Fund. The music of Mikael Tariverdiev sets the rhythm for the scene, intensifies tension, helps to hear the inner state of the character, and sometimes is remembered more strongly than the dialogue. The retrospective will gather a series of films from different years to showcase the wide range of the composer and his ability to find a unique language for each plot. A significant part of the program will consist of films by Benjamin Dorman about the spy Mikhail Tuleyev. "The Fate of the Resident", "The Return of the Resident", and "The End of the Operation 'Resident'" combine detective intrigue with psychological tension. Alongside them will be the chamber detective "The Broken Circle", where the investigation unfolds among people gathered at a country dacha. Another side of the creativity will be revealed in "Goodbye, Boys!" by Mikhail Kalik and "A Long Day" by Rafael Goldin. In these dramas, everyday intonations, relationships between people, and the feeling of time that changes destinies are important. "Old-Fashioned Comedy" will add a quiet story of late feelings to the program, while "The Endhaus Mystery" will present a classic detective structure with Hercule Poirot. The fairy tale line is represented by the films "The King-Deer" and "The Apprentice of the Healer".
