The "Illuzion" cinema invites you to a special program "PERSONA" dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Joseph Kheifits. This large-scale retrospective covers decades and showcases the rich palette of the master's directorial style. Kheifits started in silent cinema, worked in tandem with Alexander Zarkhi, and concluded his career during the Perestroika era. His films are a slice of epochs, a testament to historical changes, and a deep human statement. The program includes iconic films from different years. The retrospective will open with the drama "Deputy of the Baltic" (16.12), telling the story of a professor who sided with the Bolsheviks in starving Petrograd. Next is "Member of the Government" (17.12), the story of a peasant woman who became a deputy of the Supreme Soviet.
