The golden collection of world cinema will come to life on the big screen for just one day. In the halls of "Illuzion," more than twenty films will be shown - from American film noir to restored Soviet classics. This is a rare opportunity to see masterpieces in film or digital format from the collections of the State Film Fund. On December 28, a large-scale cinematic event dedicated to the International Day of Cinema will take place at the "Illuzion" cinema. Viewers will be able to spend an entire day in the company of world masterpieces, from Soviet classics to iconic Hollywood. All films are shown in their original formats - from 35mm film or digital media, from the collection of the State Film Fund of Russia. The program includes more than twenty films, each significant in the history of cinema. Rare restorations of domestic films will be shown: "Chapaev," "The Lady with the Dog," "The Scarlet Horse." These works preserve not only artistic value but also the atmosphere of their time. From Europe, two gems of French cinema will be shown - "The Rules of the Game" by Jean Renoir and "The Port of Shadows" by Marcel Carné. Italian neorealism will be represented by the emotional drama "Bicycle Thieves" by Vittorio De Sica. A special block of the program is Hollywood of the mid-20th century. The list includes: "Citizen Kane" by Orson Welles, "Casablanca" with Humphrey Bogart, "A Streetcar Named Desire" with Marlon Brando, the noir thriller "Double Indemnity," "Sunset Boulevard," "All About Eve," and "The Bad and the Beautiful." Additionally, viewers will once again see "Roman Holiday" with Audrey Hepburn and the rare fantasy film for Soviet distribution "The Thief of Bagdad." This event is a celebration for all who appreciate cinema as an art form. The program runs from morning until late evening. All screenings are on December 28.
