The seminar by psychologist Anna Belyaeva will help to understand how emotions are connected to well-being, tension, and the habit of suppressing experiences. Participants will discuss psychosomatics, alexithymia, bodily signals, and ways to listen to themselves more gently. Emotions are often perceived as a hindrance, although they help a person notice danger, needs, fatigue, disagreement, and internal tension. In the seminar, psychologist Anna Belyaeva will explain what happens when experiences are not expressed and remain inside for a long time. The conversation will focus on the connection between emotional literacy and well-being, bodily reactions, and habitual behavior patterns. Participants will discuss why suppressed fear, unexpressed anger, resentment, or forbidden joy can reflect on the body level. The focus will be on understanding mechanisms rather than frightening diagnoses: how the body mobilizes, what changes in biochemistry during intense experiences, and why constant tension is exhausting. A separate part of the meeting will be dedicated to psychosomatics. We will share on our website where to go in St. Petersburg.
